CHBA – Alberta listened to what you said, we’re implementing your suggestions and now we are excited to reveal the changes! Over the past winter the CHBA – Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing underwent an important review to deliver an even better awards program.
CHBA – Alberta has designed a new awards submission process and judging system that are user-friendly and can be easily navigated through. We have added more categories in all areas of the competition allowing you to showcase your top homes Albertans are purchasing. We also added a cost review committee to vet all submissions prior to judging to ensure accuracy without adding any additional upfront requirements from you when entering.
The most exciting changes we have made are to the Builder of the Year award. This year we will recognize the outstanding accomplishments of one large volume builder, one small volume builder, and one multi-family builder and award each of them their own Builder of the Year award! The criteria has also undergone a transformation. Points will still be given to the top placing builders in each category and we will award points to the shortlisted builders who provide third party customer survey results to support their entry. Finally, those who have demonstrated leadership in safety by completing their COR/SECOR will also given points which will all be added together to determine the Builder of the Year and it could be you!
