|Getting to know BILD Alberta
Welcome to BILD Alberta! We are proud to be the united voice for the land development, home building and renovation industry in Alberta.
BILD (Building Industry and Land Development) Alberta was born from the amalgamation of CHBA – Alberta and UDI Alberta on July 12, 2017. The new association is currently in a transition period that can last up to 120 days and is being led by the Transition Board. BILD Alberta Transition Board members include:
The BILD Alberta team of staff is ready to assist members with any questions they might have. Not sure who to contact? Below is a rundown of who’s who in the office:
Donna Moore, CEO – Donna is the best source of information for anything related to the amalgamation and our next steps. She will be with BILD Alberta through the transition period ensuring that the new association is successfully moving forward.
Brittany Baltimore, Safety Manager – Contact Brittany with any safety questions and she will be able to point you in the safest direction. Check out her fall prevention campaign that features the Safety Ninja.
Laara Braz, Member Services Manager – Laara is your source for any information about events, awards, sponsorships or the members’ section of the website.
Scott Fash, Director of Planning & Development – Scott is the resident land development expert. He is responsible for managing provincial issues related to land development which include the Municipal Government Act, City Charters, Affordable Housing Strategy, wetland policies, brownfield redevelopment, provincial transportation policies and shallow utilities.
Danielle Forbes, Communications Manager – Think you missed a member communication? Have an idea for a story? Contact Danielle and she will make sure you’re up-to-date on what is happening.
T.J. Keil, External Affairs Manager – T.J. manages all government relations, advocating for members at the provincial level. From Builder Licensing to energy efficiency initiatives, T.J. is on the ground connecting with external partners ensuring our members have a united voice.
Joan Maisonneuve, Policy & Industry Issues Manager – Joan is your contact if you have questions relating to the technical, policy or environmental side of building. From building codes to furnaces for construction heat, Joan’s knowledge of technical issues is far reaching.
Jaspreet Soos, Accounting & Administrative Assistant – Jaspreet is the friendly face that greets you upon entering the BILD Alberta office. She’s always ready to point you in the right direction.
