September 20 - The WDRD website
The website, www.WhyWasteIt.ca was unveiled at the CHBA - Alberta Evolve Conference, September 20-23, 2007. The website organizes diversion information by area and by material or service. For example, builders can log on to the site, choose the area closest to them and then select a material that they wish to divert. A list will then be provided by the site detailing the diversion company's contact information, accepted/unaccepted materials and associated costs. After the launch of the website, new/updated information will be continually added to encompass more areas across the province and to accommodate feedback.

April 3 - ecoEnergy

EnerVision attended the ecoEnergy for Renewable Heat Program Workshop last week in Calgary where Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) provided details on the upcoming funding available for solar hot water projects in the residential sector.

In general, there appears to be approximately one million dollars available per province to support projects that ideally would place 200 or more solar hot water systems on residential roofs. Its clear that this would not be 100% support of projects, but a portion likely in the ~$500+ per system range. NRCan will begin receiving proposals soon after April 1st on a first come first serve basis. For more information click here.
